Katie and Craig Smith got married at The Venue with their ceremony led by George the Humanist, and their whole day had a soft, romantic feel - from the blush florals to the cute confetti-filled moment that their photographer caught perfectly!
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held inside, in front of a lovely hoop arch dressed with greenery and flowers. Pink uplighting warmed the white walls and the tall arched window behind them let the daylight pour in. It's a combination that photographs beautifully - soft yet bright at
the same time.
Katie wore a lace-detailed gown and carried a loose, hand-tied bouquet of blush roses, white blooms and greenery and Craig was in a fully traditional kilt. The two of them spent most of the ceremony smiling at each other, and you can see it in every photo!
They signed the register together at a table dressed with candles and a bucket of bubbly, both of them still grinning. It all felt very natural, very them.
The Confetti Moment
If there's one photo from this wedding that stops you scrolling, it's the confetti shot! Katie and Craig walking hand in hand through the garden, their guests on either side throwing confetti and festoon lights strung overhead. Their faces lit up with joy - it's a brilliant example of how well the Eden Garden works for that moment. The lights, the trees and all of the different colours fluttering through the air - it all comes together so perfectly.
A Quiet Moment
Later, the couple slipped away to a quieter corner of the grounds for some portraits on their own. There's a lovely one of the two of them face to face under the trees, dappled light filtering through the leaves. And, after the noise and excitement of the day, it's a completely different feel - still The Venue, just the peaceful side of it.
