Green Wedding in Musselburgh
Here at Eskmills we take environmental responsibility seriously and recognise the demand for a green wedding in Musselburgh. More bride and grooms to be are asking for our environmental credentials and as this is something we wholeheartedly work hard at, it is a pleasure to let them know about our eco initiatives and how we care for the local habitat. All business can be harmful to the environment, but reducing our carbon footprint is important to us.
We reported earlier on how we support local wildlife and natural habitats by
installing nesting houses for birds at Eskmills venue. Today, we’ve moved indoors and we’re busy making our lighting more environmentally friendly by changing our halogen bulbs for LED lighting. Here’s a photo of Mario making the switch taken by our Green Tourism Intern, Ivan.
In the coming weeks we’ll be sharing  new green innovations and changes we’re making to get greener in and around Eskmills. This is in line with our parent company’s recent award of Silver with Green Tourism following a visit to Eskmills on August 4th.
Next on Ivan’s green list is some tree planting in addition to more plants for our kitchen garden. Watch this space for more info to come from Ivan, our Green Tourism intern.
