We were proud to host the wonderfully romantic wedding of Brooke and Nicki McLeod who were married at Eskmills Venue on Saturday 24th October.
Their colour scheme was red, with the bridesmaids looking stunning in floor-length scarlet gowns, and the groomsmen dapper in tartan. The theme even extended to the food – instead of canapés with their drinks reception, the chef made the guests chocolate-covered strawberries which went down a treat! Brooke and Nicki made their own altar at the bottom of the aisle which was painted white and covered in white roses – a lovely personal touch.
The wedding breakfast was along a traditional theme, with hearty roast beef and chicken to warm the guests on the fresh but sunny day. Each table had a birdcage centrepiece and birdcage place cards made by Brooke, which tied in perfectly with Eskmills’ oversized birdcage in the garden!
The beauty of an Autumn or Winter wedding is that the sun sets early, and at Eskmills the outside courtyard becomes even more atmospheric. On this occasion the guests enjoyed sparklers in the courtyard at 7pm, just before the evening guests arrived.
Brooke said:
“Thank you so much for helping us over the last year to plan the best day of our lives. Everything went exactly to plan, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day.”
It was a pleasure, Brooke – and the team at Eskmills wish you both all the best for your life together!
