The Perfect Autumn Day

Emma and John celebrated their marriage at Eskmills on a beautiful autumn day, when the golden light and seasonal colours perfectly matched the warm tones of russet, crimson and apricot seen in the gorgeous flowers from Snapdragon, which were even echoed in the bride’s natural auburn hair!

After photos on the riverbank guests were treated to a real feast at the wedding breakfast held in our venue, with its curtain of fairylights and white draped ceiling.  Scottish classics were served with a contemporary twist – a starter of a tower of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by seared fillet of salmon served with Provencal vegetables and a grated potato cake with a herbed cream sauce and finishing up with a delectable raspberry and honey cranachan laced with Drambuie.  Hot rolls were served as the dancing took place to a live ceilidh band – tinies to elderly folks all got up to dance – what a perfect end to a beautiful day.
