With a huge capacity of 350, we can accommodate large numbers of guests, and our massive windows mean natural light during the day shows the traditional bright colours used to dress the space to look especially vibrant.
At night the twinkling fairy light curtain creates a magical effect amongst jewel-coloured fabrics, perhaps a tented ceiling, floor cushions – whatever is selected to evoke the look of a rich, sumptuous palace. A decorative mandap can be arranged, or our giant birdcage is often used outdoors for ceremonies.
We recently hosted a wedding event in traditional Asian style: Huma’s Mehndi celebration. Brilliantly captured by photographer Opu Sultan (www.opusultanphotography.com), to whom many thanks for allowing us to reproduce some shots here, the family’s selected caterer (we are happy to recommend specialist Asian caterers rather than our own Hickory) cooked up a beautiful feast, while the plate dance performed by Huma’s sisters and bridesmaids set a tone of joyful celebration and entertainment which ran throughout the day and into the evening. The room was spectacularly dressed by VIP Entertainment – we loved the lavish use of shimmering fabrics and soft sofas and cushions.
