Our very own Eskmills Venue Event Sales Coordinator Dawn is engaged! Dawn and her partner Andrew got engaged in one of the most romantic cities on earth. We caught up with her to find out how it went and what her engagement and wedding plans are so far.
How did the proposal go?
Andrew was very traditional and asked my dad for his permission before he popped the question and he did get down on one knee.
Where and when did he propose?
The proposal was the day before my birthday in Paris. It happened in Disneyland at the 8 o’clock show with fireworks in the background. It was completely magical.
What’s the plan for your engagement party?
We’ve organised a great night at Eskmills Venue, with the sweetie cart and the freestanding light up LOVE letters. I’m using the Eskmills birdcages as centrepieces to match the gorgeous birdcage in the garden area.
Are you having any other fun features at the party?
We’re also creating our very own make shift photo booth with lots of props such as Mohican wigs, top hats and air guitars, so I’m expecting a big party atmosphere! We’ve also got the wonderful DJ Colin also booked as our entertainment!
Have you booked your own wedding venue?
Yes, I’ve booked a venue for May 2018, but I’m keeping it a secret for now!
Have you got anything else planned for your big day?
I’ve booked crisp white Chiavari chairs for the ceremony, dinner and the evening reception
Any thoughts on the Honeymoon?
We’ve already been looking at our honeymoon options. Right now, we’re thinking of going on a 4 day city break then 7 days all-inclusive on a beach somewhere.
