Last week we held a wedding tasting evening at Eskmills Venue, to give our brides and grooms chance to sample award-winning catering from Hickory and get ideas for their own wedding menus.
Our guests were first treated to a selection of deliciously different canapés, from crostini of seared fillet of beef to our famous parmesan lollipops, and then got to dig in to a variety of tasty dishes that included slow-roasted squash, pancetta-wrapped chicken and yummy soup shots of maple syrup-roasted parsnips, pictured above.
Dawn, our Wedding Planner, said it was a lovely evening:
“Everyone had a great night, and it went down really well with our guests. It was all very relaxed and informal. The couples were very good at chatting and making conversation, all wedding based – there was lots and lots of chat about stag and hen dos, photo booths, bands, djs, centrepieces – all things wedding, as you’d expect!
“My brides thought it was a great idea and loved being guests for the evening. One said she liked the fact that she’d be able to tell her wedding guests all about the food, because she’d experienced it for herself.
“It was so nice to be part of it all. And it was lovely to sit down and taste some of the yummy food as well!”
