If you’re discovering Eskmills for the first time you’re in for a treat. The venue is located just 15 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh on the banks of the pretty River Esk in the coastal town of Musselburgh. Once a working mill in the 1800’s the building has been lovingly restored and sensitively converted into a stunning wedding venue oozing personality, heritage and charm.
The picturesque cobbled courtyard and beautifully manicured gardens provide the perfect backdrop for an outdoor summer wedding. The gardens are abundant in beautiful bright florals and fresh scents with plentiful seating space and a bridal walkway, ideal to line with pretty petals. The courtyard is the perfect spot to toast the happy couple with a glass (or two!) of fizz and refreshing spritz cocktails. Though we can’t guarantee the sun will be splitting the Scottish sky, we can guarantee a beautiful wedding setting.
Unique to Eskmills is our impressive Glass Atrium overlooking the courtyard and our Retreat Room also known as the Bridal Boudoir, or Grooms Den. The room is exclusive to the bridal party, and the perfect retreat for hair and make-up fixes or simply a moment of quiet and calm.
Our beautiful bright indoor space on the ground floor is furnished with a bespoke ivory bridal walkway, a fully serviced bar and dance floor.
We’ve made sure to add all the essentials into the Whirlwind Wedding Package including tables, Chiavari chairs and seat pads, crockery, cutlery, glassware, a wooden easel for your table, a cake stand and silver cake knife. And if that wasn’t enough, you also have access to a PA system for the heartfelt speeches. Cue the nerves!
To complete the planning of your last minute wedding a private tasting for two is included. On the big day, guests will enjoy a mouthwatering two-course wedding breakfast with fresh coffee and petit fours, and you’ll end the night with hot filled rolls – the perfect way to make sure your guests leave with smiles on their faces!
