We’ve had a fantastic year at Eskmills Venue from dream weddings to big birthday bashes and our legendary Christmas parties. To celebrate a truly great year we’re looking back over some of our highlights and favourite moments from 2016.
Finalist for small venue of the year
We were incredibly proud to be shortlisted for Small Venue of the Year at The Drum Scottish Event Awards 2016. The judges comprised some of the most talented and experienced in the industry so to be nominated and acknowledged for such a coveted award was a great achievement. The nomination was a real reflection of the beauty and versatility of Eskmills Venue, coupled with the hard work and dedication of our talented team.
Christmas party nights
Our Christmas party nights were just as sparkly, shimmery and shiny as we anticipated and we’re thrilled everyone had a ball. With a total of 12 party nights, 3,454 Christmas dinners, 10,362 canapés and 6,908 deliciously chilled glasses of Prosecco served, you could say they were a sparkling success!
Our Venue Sales Manager, Dawn, got engaged
Our very own Eskmills Venue Sales Manager Dawn got engaged! Dawn’s partner, Andrew popped the questions in one of the most romantic and magical places on earth – Disneyland, Paris. We’re so happy for them both and we can’t wait to see Dawns wedding plans come together.
Ceiling drapes
We’ve recently introduced our stunning ceiling drapes as the perfect enhancement to any occasion at Eskmills Venue. If you’re looking for a cosier, more intimate feel our drapes are the perfect addition to the venue.
Sweetie Cart
Our classic sweetie cart has been a roaring success. You can always count on there being a few sweet tooth’s on the guest list, both kids and grown-ups! They’ll love creating their own pick-and-mix combinations.
LOVE lights
The light-up LOVE lights are the perfect way to add something unique to your décor as well as create inspiring photo opportunities for yourself and your guests. They’re a great talking point of any event and have been a really popular enhancement in 2016.
Birdcage Gazebo
Our stunning, wrought-iron birdcage gazebo has become a favourite focal point for couples to hold their ceremony in during the warmer months. The gazebo can be prettily decorated with flowers or even fairy lights, it’s a beautifully romantic backdrop and ideal for making those first photographs as a married couple very special.
All in all, we’ve had a pretty great year at Eskmills Venue. We’re already looking forward to the New Year with so many weddings and events to look forward to in 2017.
